TFI New user/ New PC setup

Initial device setup:

1. Latest Windows version & updates (unless specified otherwise)
2. Name device in format of TFIL-YYMMDD-01-99 Example: TFIL 240819-1
3. Create V12User local account

Setting up security software and backing up recovery keys:

1. Install Remote Monitoring Agent
2. Install DNSWatchGo
3. Install WithSecure
4. Install Adobe Acrobat Reader
5. Turn off Fast Startup via control panel
6. Enable Bitlocker (including enabling the pre-boot pin requirement and setting the usual pin: 192192)
7. Backup Bitlocker recovery key as PDF and deposit into the TFI Bitlocker recovery key folder

Entra ID and setting up user's desktop environment:

1. Entra ID join using users login details
2. Sign in as user
3. Ensure Edge is signed in as user
4. Ensure OneDrive is signed in as user
5. Ensure Outlook and other Office 365 applications are signed in as the user
6. Ensure Teams is signed in as the user
7. Deploy Cybersmart via portal - "Send Active Protection" - It will appear in their inbox as a link to download the latest version installer
8. Sync relevant SharePoint folders
9. Ensure TFI user is not an administrator account
